CBSE Class 10th 12th Board Examination to start from March 5, complete date sheet soon

New Delhi: The first information regarding the date sheet for the CBSE Board Examinations is out. After much speculation, sources from the Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE have confirmed that the board examinations for class 10th and 12th are likely to start from March 5, 2018. This is due to the festival of Holi which is falling on March 2. The complete date sheet is expected to be released in the first week of January. 

As per reports published in TOI, the examinations for both Class 10th and 12th are likely to start from Monday, March 5, 2018. The reason for the delay is the festival of Holi and then the weekend. Earlier sources had suggested that the examination may start earlier than usual due to the same reason. This suggestion, however, was discarded by the official notification released by CBSE That confirmed that the exams would indeed start from March. The sources have also confirmed that the CBSE class 10 board examination 2018 would most likely end in the month of March itself. As for Class 12 board examination, the examinations are expected to extend till April.

The complete date sheet would be released on the official website and also available on this website. The CBSE Board Examination 2018 would see about 18 lakh students from Class 10 and another 11 lakh students of class 12 writing the examinations. Around 16,500 affiliated schools would be participating in the exercise and an expected 4200 centres are expected to be allocated. The examinations are most likely to start from March 5. Examination for science stream students or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are most likely to end in March itself and those for commerce and humanities stream are expected to extend till late April.
